“Fire”

"Fire" is an original oil painting on a 12"X16" panel.

This painting is a part of my personal collection that hangs over my workspace. When I first created this back in 2017, I posted it on a Reddit thread for Game of Thrones. I got some of the worst comments there, and it really made me self conscious about my artistic skills. I was really down for a little while, but then I noticed something. It may not be an exact representation of Emilia Clarke, but it is my representation of how I imagined Daenerys in the books. I read the books fist, you see? I also noticed that in my art, I tend to reflect myself in almost every single one. I realized that in this painting, I almost just painted myself. That is why I will never sell this painting. It taught me an important lesson, non-constructive opinions don’t matter, and I will continue to do what I love regardless of what people say.
