The Emily Noël Photography logo is an initial style logo which includes the E in Emily and the N in Noël after Emily’s first and middle name. This part of the logo was created using Baskerville Display Pt Regular font, and then was adapted using Adobe Illustrator.

Changes are emphasized in the figure here…

Underneath the “EN” are two 5 point lines emphasizing the word “PHOTOGRAPHY” which is in Korolev Medium with some tracking changes to achieve that spread out and clean look.

On smaller scales, text can get hard to read. Since the “PHOTOGRAPHY” type in the logo would get lost when sized down too much, I created a sub-mark/icon that can also be used as a design asset in the branding. The sub-mark was based off of an old camera that Emily has kept with her for years. It inspires her to do her craft and continue focusing on her dreams in photography.

Brand color logo variations

OLD VS. NEW

Much like the original Kasey LeRay Art logo, this logo was just created using my own handwriting years ago, which looks nice and pretty, however many people find it hard to read. Rookie mistake. Although this logo did fit the brand and Emily’s personality, it was too complicated and very difficult to read. I’m sure it would be impossible to print on most things.

I realized it was time to go back and update Emily’s logo because I knew that I was capable of so much more. I wanted to create something that looked elegant, readable, and simple. This logo feels more professional and mature compared to the old. I used Baskerville Display PT as the font for the “EN” because it reminded me of a storybook, which fits the personality of her brand.

Branding Mockups

It’s great to be able to visualize your branding in action in a mock-up in order to get a really good idea what it will look like on products and supplies.
