creating an app interface prototype with Adobe XD

Planty App Interface Prototype

overview

During my course Fundamentals of Interactive Media, I took the skills I was simultaneously learning in another course called Interactive design. I created two different big projects with Adobe XD during these courses and I had SO MUCH FUN!

Planty, is an app I created for Intro to Interactive Design. I have a love for plants. I have too many in my house. I decided to use this passion to create something I would be really interested in, an app specifically designed for taking care of, and purchasing plants.

color palette

I chose these colors for the color palette because I wanted a muted pastel green and yellow to really calm the eye and feel very natural and sunny.

wireframing

Wireframing was very daunting at first, but after a bit of practice and research, I had the entire app flowing pretty well for a prototype.

See below the lines connecting all the artboards.

This ended up being very soothing in a tedious way. I had a lot more freedom in Adobe XD than I do here on Squarespace.
