CREATING THE NEW KASEY LERAY ART:

The logo for Kasey LeRay Art started off as my own handwriting in a signature style. This logo meant a lot to me and felt very personal, however I created it long before I started studying Graphic Design. After a few years of school, I decided that a rebranding was long overdue. It was time to hang up the old signature logo and make something more readable and simple.

Since the logo needed changing, so did the branding. The old color scheme was black, white, and grey mostly. Since I wanted to merge the Art and the Design sides of my business, I needed something more interesting that could represent both.

Orange and yellow had been speaking to me lately. I found myself including these colors in all my paintings and designs. I also associate sunshine and happiness with the feeling I want to portray my brand as. So, the colors got a re-vamp.

These orange and each colors go really well with the yellow I chose. It feels like a sunset. It’s bright and bold, but not too much.

variations

It’s important to have several versions of your logo in order to easily choose the most visible and readable option, no matter where you’re putting it.

I tested out a few versions of the brand with different elements and colors. I created simple versions in black, white, and one color which will be used most often.

After looking at all these variations I created, I was able to finish putting together my Branding Board
